Prik Nam Pla is my favorite Thai chili sauce and the classic chili dip in Thailand. Prik Nam Pla is used to flavor dishes with rice, sticky rice and fried rice and vegetables, curries, soups and stir fry dishes.Prik Nam Pla consists of Thai Chili (Prik) and fish sauce (Nam Pla).
In Thailand Prik Nam Pla is served in a tiny bowl with every meal, no matter what you order. In Thai restaurants the chili sauce is already on each table. Prik Nam Pla is used for seasoning and refined flavor. But beware, the sauce is hellish hot.

- 5x Green Thai Chili | พริกขี้หนูสีเขียว (Prik Kee Noo See Keaw)
- 5x Red Thai Chili | พริกขี้หนูแดง (Prik Kee Noo See Daeng)
- 1/2 Lime | มะนาว (Ma Nao)
- 2 Garlic glove | กระเทียมจีน (Kratiem Jeen)
- 2 Thai Shallot, red | หอมแดง (Hom Daeng)
- 1 TL Sugar | น้ำตาลทราย (Nam Tan Sai)
- 3 EL Fish Sauce | น้ำปลา (Nam Pla)

Thai Chili Dip
1. Prepare the Thai Shalott, die Garlic Clove, the green and the red Chilis, Sugar, Fisch Sauce and the lime.
2. Then peel and slice the shallots. Cut the chillies and garlic cloves into small pieces or slice them. Cut two thin slices from the lime. The rest of the lime squeeze by hand to get lime juice.
3. Then give about 3 tablespoon of the Thai fish sauce in a small bowl. Add the lime juice and the sugar to the fish sauce. Stirring the mixture as long until the sugar disappear.
4. Then add the sliced shallots, garlic, and red and green chili to the fish sauce mixture. Mix well and then add the two slices of lime.
5. Now the Thai chili dip is finished. You can give the chili sauce into small dip bowls. Then you can serve the Thai chili sauce Prik Nam Pla.
6. The chili sauce has the appetizing spicy flavor and tastes like in Thailand holiday.
